Is Her Campus Adelphi an official campus organization?
- No, you do not have to be a girl to participate. Here at Adelphi we encourage all students to take part. The name "Her" Campus has naturally attracted female members but we would like males to join as well. Do not be mislead by the color scheme!
Do I have to be a Communications major to join?
- No, all majors and students are welcome.
Do I have to be a writer to join?
- No, we have many positions for people (some still need to be filled). Theres a need for as many people as possible. Photographer, public relations/publicity, event planner, you-tuber, fundraiser, members, the list goes on. We will find a spot for you!
What if I want to join but cannot make the meetings?
- Not a problem, you do not have to attend all or any meetings to be apart. Members can upload directly to the site with their member log in. The private Facebook group will have the meeting minutes and powerpoint posted weekly. We will work with you to communicate and plan what works best for you.
I have emailed a campus correspondent that I am interested in joining, what happens next?
- Our campus correspondent will get back to you as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours. You will be given a member log in to our site and other information regarding requirements. Non writers may or may not be given a log in depending on their role. For the fall 2015 semester please send all emails to Gabriella Vaccarino. Any emails sent to Natalie Hunter will not be seen, as she is studying abroad.
Is Her Campus Adelphi an official campus organization?
- As of now HC Adelphi is not an official campus organization. We run on our own rules and regulations given to us by the Her Campus management and our chapter advisor (who is also part of management). We are working towards becoming an official organization. The more members and support the more likely we will be approved!
